There's been interest in a recording of the various panels similar to what was done in 2004. While we as Writercon Comm don't have the ability to the high-tech or the mailing system of '04, we'd still love to see recording and sharing happen again.

So, if you have a personal recording device, and as long as panels/presenters don't mind, you are welcome to make a recording. Ideally we'd love to see mp3 recordings made, uploaded, and shared. (So many fab panels, so little time!)

To that end, I was at a Big Lots type close out store and stumbled across three Belkin Voice Recorder for iPod for a price I couldn't refuse.

The one complication is that these only fit iPods with a small rectangular slot right next to the jack. (Unfortunately the picture doesn't show it.) My downstairs neighbor has such an iPod; she purchased hers in 2002 and it's about the size of a deck of cards. We tested out one of the recorders and it worked easily and seemed to record clearly, etc.

If you think you might have an older iPod model and would be interested in helping out with recording and uploading panels, etc., please respond. (I'll be leaving in less than an hour and gone for a week, so don't be surprised by the lack of a reply.)
